These terms apply to zodial.ai, the studio, the Constellation and the files you download from them. By using the site you agree to them.
The service
Zodial lets you configure and run astronomical clocks in your browser, compare charts in the Constellation, and download clocks, posters and time-lapses. These features are free and require no account. Other features described as part of the Observatory are not yet available; joining the waitlist does not create a subscription or any obligation. The Zodial daily sky digest by text is governed by the SMS terms below.
Your downloads
You may use the clocks, posters and time-lapses you create for personal purposes, including as wallpapers, prints and gifts. The Zodial engine, dial designs and software inside a downloaded clock remain the property of Zodial and its licensors. Do not resell the downloaded software, extract the engine for use in another product, or present Zodial dials as your own design. For commercial use, licensing or physical dials, write to support@zodial.ai.
Charts of other people
Add another person's birth data to your Constellation only with their consent. You are responsible for the data you enter. Do not use Zodial to compare charts involving minors in a romantic context, or to profile, pressure or monitor another person.
Astronomy and interpretation
Planetary positions, houses, twilight and hours are computed to the published accuracy and verified against the Swiss Ephemeris. Astrological interpretation describes conditions according to named traditions; it does not determine outcomes. Decisions about health, legal and financial matters remain yours and those of the professionals you consult.
SMS terms: the Zodial daily sky digest
Program. The Zodial daily sky digest is a recurring SMS program operated by Vickan Capital, 500 E 4th St, Suite 635, Austin, Texas 78701, sent from the toll-free number (855) 266-6606. It delivers a short daily astrology digest built from your chart and the live sky, and replies from Hermes when you text the number.
Opting in. You join on the text digest page by entering your mobile number and ticking the consent box, which is never pre-ticked. We then text you to confirm; the program starts only when you reply YES. By opting in you agree to receive recurring automated text messages from Zodial (Vickan Capital) at the number provided. Consent is not a condition of purchase.
Frequency and cost. Message frequency varies, about 1 message per day, plus replies to your messages. Message and data rates may apply, according to your mobile plan.
Help and cancellation. Reply HELP for help, or email support@zodial.ai. Reply STOP at any time to cancel; you will receive one message confirming your opt-out and no further messages. Reply START to rejoin.
Carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Supported on major US carriers.
Privacy. Mobile numbers and opt-in data are never sold or shared with third parties for marketing. See the Privacy Policy.
Acceptable use
Do not attempt to disrupt the site, submit automated or false waitlist entries, or use the site to infringe anyone's rights.
Third-party material
Zodial includes open-source software, fonts and data used under their own licences, listed on the Credits page. Those licences govern that material.
Warranty and liability
The site and downloads are provided as they are, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. Zodial is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the site or downloads. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes
We may update these terms as Zodial grows, for example when accounts or the Observatory open. The date above shows the current version. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
